Hotel Birdhouse

Inspired by a trip that I took to Turkey Point a few summers ago, I created a concept hotel brand from concept to execution. Hotel Birdhouse is a charming getaway located in Canada’s birdhouse capital, Port Rowan.

The iconography of real birdhouses inspired the logo. Its simple shape can be derived into other graphic elements that are used throughout various applications. For example, in the email newsletter, call to action buttons are reminiscent of wayfinding signs found in forests, with shapes found in the logo forming them.

Upon completing research about Port Rowan, I knew I wanted to spotlight the wide variety of produce growing in the region. With Norfolk County being one of the largest farming regions in Canada, I chose to include dishes featuring the region’s most bountiful produce inspired by cuisines from around the world.
